- 12 cups cubed day-old bread (French or sourdough)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 cup finely chopped celery
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon dried sage
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2–3 cups low-sodium chicken or vegetable broth

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread cubed bread on a baking sheet and toast for 10–15 minutes until golden brown.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté chopped onions and celery until softened (about 5 minutes). Add garlic, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper; cook for another minute.
