Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy (2-3 minutes).
- Beat in the egg and vanilla until combined.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Divide dough into three portions: one plain (vanilla), one mixed with cocoa powder (chocolate), and one with orange gel food coloring.
- Fold chocolate chips into each portion.
- Take small pieces from each dough type, shape into marbled balls (do not overmix), and place on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
