- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup pure pumpkin puree
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar, then add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla.
- In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring in chocolate chips last.
- Spread brownie batter into the prepared pan.
- For the cheesecake layer, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Mix in pumpkin puree, egg yolk, vanilla, and pumpkin pie spice until combined.
- Drop dollops of cheesecake over the brownie batter and swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until edges are set; a toothpick inserted into the brownie comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
